Bag Refill Recommendations

The best way to manage dog waste is to install a cost-effective dog waste system and encourage dog owners to be responsible. It has been proven that providing dog owners with dog waste bags dispensers can improve compliance by at least 150%.

How many do I order?

The need can vary widely depending on how many dog frequent the area you are trying to keep clean. Here are some guidelines to get your started:

For Parks: Green spaces are man’s best friend’s favorite place. Start by installing one pet waste station every 160 yards within the park. If the park is visited by a large volume of dogs a good way to estimate your need is to place a pet waste station for every 50 dogs that drop by. (So if you expect about 100 dogs to visit the park you need two stations). If the park is a Dog Park, plan on about twice the usage so double your numbers. Everyone loves their dog, but no one loves dog poop.

For residential areas: Apartments, condos, mobile home communities, Home Owner Associations (HOA) and more. Place one pet waste station for every 55 homes or units. Keep in mind if the residential homes/ units are really spread out, you may need a pet waste station for every 35-40 homes/ units.

Remember: At first be sure to monitor the usage, and place additional pet waste stations if the cans are filling up or the dispensers are running out of bags more than once a week.
