How can you mount the metal can?
Answer:The steel trash can easily attaches to any u-channel post. All assembly hardware is included with when you order the trash can. For best results, we recommend using the 10-gallon can with our steel sign posts (E17, E18 or SP5) to keep the trash can off the ground at your park, HOA, or community.
How can you keep the trash can liners from sliding down?
Answer:All metal waste cans have interior hoops to keep the trash can liner in place. When installing, simply lift the hoops and slide the trash liner around them. When the trash bag is in place, push the hoops back down to secure it. Use our Trash Can Liners for 10 Gallon Steel Cans for best results.
What type of liner does this trash can use?
Answer:To make it easy, we have specifically designed 10-gallon trash can liners to work in the metal trash can. The Trash Can Liners for 10 Gallon Steel Cans ship today and are included with any metal pet waste station order.
Can this trash can be mounted to a wood post?
Answer:The steel trash can for your park can be mounted on a wood post by using either a wood screw or a lag bolt. The size of the lag bolt and wood screw should be less than 1/4" in diameter and at least 1-1/2" long. We suggest using a lag bolt for easier installation. We are working on a project, and we are installing these trash cans. Can you please let us know the amount of space between the bottom and top of the can and the first holes?
Answer:Each metal can's first mounting hole is 3.5" away from the top of the can, and the last hole is 3" from the base of the trash can. The spacing is designed to fit u-channel posts, but it can be mounted in a variety of ways.

Can this be mounted to a wood post
Our 10 Gallon Steel Trash Receptacle can absolutely be mounted to either a u-channel post or wood post. To mount the trash can to a wood post, you can simply use either a wood screw or a lag bolt that is no bigger than ¼” in diameter and at least 1-1/2” long. However, we would recommend a lag bolt since you will be able to use a socket instead of a Phillips head or flat head to attach the steel trash can.
